Swan Café presents Bastille Day Classic Night


For one night only, Swan Café presents an exclusive 5-course Bastille Day dinner with chefs Preeti Bardolia and Gavin Memper and optional wine pairing by Steenberg.

Join us for a celebration of all things French! Tickets are R450 per person and include a welcome glass of bubbles with canapés followed by 5 courses of delicious French classic dishes, recreated by our guest chefs. Steenberg wines will also be available for an additional wine pairing with each course.


Best dressed (most French, of course!) will win a R500 voucher for Swan Café and a magnum of Steenberg Wine. Let’s celebrate Bastille the French way!



  • Welcome canapés and Steenberg MCC: crêpe money purse
  • Twice-baked cheese soufflé
  • Moules à la marinière served with fresh crusty bread
  • Classic French onion soup
  • Coq au vin with lardons, pearl onions, carrots, button mushrooms and pomme purée with a side of buttery green beans
  • Dessert: Swan Lake… the pièce de résistance!


About the chefs

Chef Preeti Bardolia travels the world cooking privately. She has cheffed on yachts and also caters to a large Cape Town client base for events and consultancy projects. She loves fresh, vibrant, colourful food and loves to create memorable meals.


Chef Gavin Memper is also a seasoned traveller and international chef, having trained in London and worked in the French Alps, Singita in Tanzania, New Zealand and on a superyacht in the Med, Thailand and the Maldives. Back in Cape Town, he co-founded Rush Nutrition and returned to private cheffing while currently studying Nutritional Health Coaching.
